Services for Helen Madden, 60, Route 1, Claremont, IL, who died Thursday, September 1, 1983 at her home, will be at  Summers Funeral Home with Bro. Roger Hillis presiding. Burial in Memorial Gardens in Haven Hill Cemetery.

Mrs. Madden was born Oct. 16, 1922, in Richland County, the daughter of Earl C. and Bessie (Bowen) Berry. She married Melvin Madden Oct. 12, 1940 and he survives.

She was a member of the Olney Church of Christ.

Other survivors include three sons, Kenny, of Newton, Doug and Jeff both of Claremont; a daughter, Nancy Madden of Paxton; a sister, Mary Clark of Sarasota, FL, her mother, Mrs. Bessie Berry of Olney; three grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father.
