George Edward Wagner, 67, of Madison, Ala. died Thursday June 1, 2006 after a long illness.

Rev. Wagner was a native of Olney. He served as pastor to churches in Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama and Tennessee.

He was born June 23, 1938, son of George V. Wagner and Cora Lee Wagner, also of Olney.

Survivors include his loving wife, Jo Wagner; three sons, Timothy E. Wagner, Edward C. Frazier and Douglas E. Wagner; and one daughter, Denise A. Wagner. He is also survived by ten grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; his brother, Frank L. Wagner; and two nieces.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
