Jerome Stallard Class of 1956Jerome "Jerry" Edward Stallard, 79, of Olney, IL, passed away at Burgin Manor, Sunday, November 13, 2016.  Services at First United Methodist in Olney.

Jerry was born July 31, 1937 in Olney, Illinois, the son of Cecil and Leta (Koertge) Stallard.

As a young man, out of high school, Jerry worked in Joiliet, Illinois for fifteen years.  He moved back to Olney to help care for his family and worked at AMF Bicycle factory.  He worked for the Purdue Turkey Factory for ten years until his health declined.

Jerry loved woodworking and repairing furniture.  He loved coffee and dessert.  He was a lifetime member of the First United Methodist Church.

Jerry is survived by his wife of thirty-nine years Judy (Kermicle) Stallard; daughter Patsy (Mark) Dillion of New London, Iowa; son, Jeremy Stallard of Aviston, Illinois; daughter, Shandy Stallard of Jeffersonville, Indiana.  Also surviving are four grandchildren: Jessica, Emily, Hillary, Ellyana Mae; three great-grandchildren: Logan, Garret, and Haley.  Also survived by one brother, Rodney Stallard of Forney, Texas; cousin, Jean Stallard King of Olney; brothers-in-law, Don (Carol) Kermicle of Odessa, Texas, Ronnie (Bonnie) Kermicle of Olney, Gary (Peggy) Kermicle of Dundas, and sister-in-law Kay (John) Gainous of Florida.

Jerry was proceeded in death by his parents and a brother, Douglas.

Linda Louise Hawkins (Gross) (1956)

I remember Jerry from early childhood because his family lived next to our grocery store. I touched base with him later on at class reunions and I always enjoyed our conversations. My condolences to his family.
