Denise Dolores Lee (Stuckey)

Denise Dolores Stuckey, 70, of Gladewater, passed away March 20, 2009 at Good Shepherd Medical Center in Longview, Texas.  Services at Grubbs-Loyd Funeral Home in Diana, with the Rev. Rodger Garbs officiating. Interment in New Olive Branch Cemetery in Doddridge, Arkansas.

"Dolores" was born June 27, 1938, in Sulphur Bluff, Texas, to John and Addine Lee. She married, James Ed Stuckey on April 19, 1975, in Jefferson, Texas. She was a C.P.A and a member of First United Methodist Church in Gladewater. She held BBA and MBA degrees in Accountancy from University of Texas, Tyler and was a practicing CPA for many years. She was an expert seamstress, belonged to the Order of the Eastern Star and was a member and lay minister in the United Methodist Church. Dolores was known for her sense of humor. She is missed.

She is survived by daughters, Linda Lee Gunnells of Gladewater, and Kim O'Con of Diana; son, Garry Struble of Glen Rose; sister and brother-in-law, Dr. Johnine and Dr. Orel D. Callahan of Michigan; eight grandchildren; and several close nieces and nephews and life-long friends, Donna and Deb Goss of Olney, IL

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Edward Stuckey in 2003 and her parents, John and Addine Lee of Avinger, Texas.
