Karen J. Seessengood Engel, 57, of Olney, died Friday, Jan 5, 1996, at Good Samaritan Hospital in Vincennes, Ind.

Services at Summers-Kistler Funeral Home in Olney, with Kendall Bopp and Harold Engel officiating. Burial  in Crest Haven Memorial Park.

Engel was born Jan. 24, 1938 in Olney, the daughter of Robert T. and Genelle (Baker) Jones. She married Robert Seessengood March 25, 1956 in Richland County. He preceded her in death July 29, 1986. She married George Engel Nov. 5, 1988 in Vincennes. He survives.

She was a homemaker and a member of the Olney Christian Church.

She is survived by her husband; two sons, Dennis Seessengood and his wife, Brenda, of Olney, and Ronald Seessengood and his wife, Sherri, of Calhoun, one daughter, Cheryl Clodfelter, and her husband, Wesley, of West Salem; her mother, of Olney; four step-sons, Warren Engel and his wife, Jennifer, of Arlington, Allan Engel and his wife, Glenna, of Lawrenceville, Don Engel and his wife, Betty, of Lawrenceville, and Harold Engel and his wife, Shana of Louisville; one step-daughter, Nancy Hawthorne, of Lawrenceville; one brother, Jerry Jones, of Cathedral City, Calif.; one sister, Judy Taylor, of Olney; seven grandchildren; and 10 step-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her father and first husband.
