Larry D. Calvert, 77, of Mascoutah, Illinois, born Jan. 6, 1938 in Robinson, Illinois, died Thursday, May 28, 2015 at his residence.  A graveside service held at the Mascoutah City Cemetery, Mascoutah, with Rev. Charlie McGee officiating with burial to follow.

Larry worked as a carpenter and most recently for Jerry Smalling in Belleville before his retirement.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jesse E. and Kathryn B. (Hale) Calvert; and a son, Jesse D. Calvert.

He is survived by his wife, Geraldine E., nee Wehrheim, Calvert whom he married in Olney, IL on Nov. 9, 1957; a daughter, Becky (Darren) Santel of New Memphis, IL; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; two sisters, Nancy Kinkaid of Newburg, IN, and Kathryn (Raymond) Friend of Pittsburgh, TX.
