Alice (Beck) Whalen, 71 of Fort Wayne, Ind. died Tuesday October 2, 2007 at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne.  Funeral services and burial in Fort Wayne, Ind.

Mrs. Whalen was born March 21, 1936 in Richland County, the daughter of Clarence and Clara Beck.

She is survived by her husband of 51 years, George L. Whalen; daughter, Marilyn (Wayne) Erexson of Fort Wayne, Ind.; son, David Whalen of Fort Wayne, Ind.; eight grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter.

Mrs. Whalen is preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Clara Beck; daughter, Linda M. Dillion; and brother, John Beck.
