Thomas Steven Baclet - Class Of 1956

Thomas Steven Baclet

Steven Lyle Baclet, 62, passed away January 16, 2001 at his residence, the result of a heart attack. A native of Benton, Illinois, he was born July 9, 1938 to Charles Albert and Catherine (Harvath) Baclet and had lived in Reno for the past 31 years, coming from San Francisco.

Baclet had worked as real estate broker, stockbroker, airline pilot and certified public accountant. He was a member of the Calvary Chapel Church and was a U. S. Air Force Veteran.  He graduated from San Jose State College, California.

His parents preceded him in death.

Surviving are a son, Jeff and sister, Rose Baclet, both of Santa Ana, Calif.; brother, Charles of Irvine, Calif.; sisters, Jeanette Schrantz of Belleville, Ill. and Mary Ann Hyde of Columbia, Mo and several nieces and nephews.

No funeral is scheduled. Arrangements by Walton’s Funeral Home, Reno.

The following information provided by Steven’s sister, Rosalie Baclet (class of ’63): Steven’s name on his birth certificate was actually“Steven Lyle Baclet” which he discovered when he entered the Air Force. (In the Olnean he was listed as Thomas Steven Baclet).  Steven was a Certified Public Accountant and when he took his exam he passed all four parts the first time, which only 1 % can take that honor, he also passed three stock broker tests so he could trade stocks and oversee others in an office.
