Lucille Main (English 1955-1970)

Mrs. Lucile J. Main, 68, retired teacher of the ERHS faculty, was pronounced dead on arrival at the Richland Memorial Hospital at 6:30 p.m. Friday, April 2, 1971.

Mrs. Main was born in Cedarville, Ohio, a daughter of John and Della (Gilbert) Johnson. She was married in Beaver Falls, Pa. Dec. 22, 1933 to Dr. Herbert L. Main, former pastor of the Olney Presbyterian Church. He preceded her in death Jan. 25, 1958.

Survivors include one son, Paul J. Main of Warrensburg, Ill., two granddaughters, and one sister, Mrs. Hiram (Eleanore) Harshfield of Columbus, Ohio.

She was a member of the Olney Presbyterian Church, P.E.O. Sisterhood, chapter FR, and the Retired Teachers Organization. She taught in the English and Language Departments at ERHS for 16 years, retiring in the spring of 1970. She had previously taught in the Greenfield and West Carrolton, Ohio school systersm.

Funeral services in the chapel of the Zirkle Mortuary with David A. McNabb, Pastor, officiating. Interment in the North Cemetery at Cedarville, Ohio.
