Helen Marie Dishong, 88, of Olney, died Sunday, November 29, 2009, at Richland Memorial Hospital in Olney.   Funeral services at Summers-Kistler Funeral Home with Minister Larry Weber officiating. Burial in Haven Hill Cemetery in Olney.

Mrs. Dishong was born January 15, 1921, the daughter of Bert and Flossie (Franklin) West. She married Vernice A. "Vern" Dishong August 30, 1941. He preceded her in death on May 25, 2002.

She was a homemaker and had worked as a waitress at Turnipseed's Drive In and also as an office receptionist at the county jail.

Mrs. Dishong is survived by her son, Dr. Jerry Dishong and his wife, Rande, of Olney; sister, Rosa Lathrop, of Claremont; granddaughter, Missy Phillips and her husband, Todd, of Olney; great-grandchildren, Marley, Gage and Quinn; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Bert and Flossie West; husband, Vernice A. "Vern" Dishong; one sister; and two brothers.
