Richard E. Bowers, 61, Greenville Pike, Madisonville, Kentucky died Wednesday May 25, 1983 in Clinic Convalescent Center in Madisonville.  Services at Summers Funeral Home with Rev. Dwight Jones presiding. Burial in Haven Hill Cemetery.

Mr. Bowers was born August 30, 1921 in Olney, the son of Samuel and Flossie (Seymour) Bowers. He was a broker; and a member of the First United Methodist Church.

Survivors include a brother, Gerald of Oregon, Ohio; and his mother, Mrs. Flossie Bowers.

He was preceded in death by his father and a brother, Claude Bowers.
