Paul E. Abegglen, 73, of Olney, died Thursday Jan. 19, 1995 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Vincennes, Ind.  Funeral services at Summers-Kistler Funeral Home with Les Boldt officiating. Burial in the Memorial Park Cemetery in Vincennes.

Abegglen was born Feb. 23, 1921 in Olney, the son of Edward and Nannie (Hall) Abegglen. He married Marjorie VanCleve Sept. 21, 1941. She died in 1984. He married Patricia "Pat" Phillips in June 1986.

He was a retired city clerk with the city of Olney. He served as mayor of Olney and also worked at Abegglen Furniture Store in Olney. He was a member of the Christian Church of Olney and also was a member of Olney Elks #926.

He is survived by his wife, of Olney; four sons, Tom Abegglen, of O'Fallon, Bill Abegglen, of Keokuk, Iowa, Jim Abegglen, of Cincinnati, Ohio, and John Abegglen, of Lake Charles, La.; a daughter, Nancy Traylor, of Vincennes; a step-son, Paul Phillips, of Vincennes; a nephew, Ken Abegglen, of O'Fallon, Mo.; and five grandchildren.

Abegglen was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife and a brother, Bob.
