Steve Wilson, 73, of Olney, formerly of Dundas, passed away on Sunday, November 14, 2021 at Deaconess Gateway Hospital Evansville, IN. Steve was born on June 15, 1948 in Dundas, IL, the son of Donald and Marie (Kermicle) Wilson. He married Lela (Fulkerson) on November 04, 1972 in Olney, IL, and she survives.

Steve worked at Wabash Valley until he retired at 62. After retirement, he worked with his brother, Wade, and his nephews, Matt, Jeremy, and Jaxson Wilson, at Wilson Farms and Excavating. In addition to his strong work ethic, he enjoyed hunting and working outdoors. But his most priceless possession was his family, especially his five grandchildren. He also enjoyed morning phone conversations with his two children. His reputation throughout the community was one of selflessness and willingness to help anyone in need. He was also quite ornery and enjoyed picking on all those around him. He was well loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Steve is survived by his wife, Lela Wilson; daughter, Amy Angle; son, Josh (Rachel) Wilson; grandchildren, Payton (Harleigh) Angle, Abigail Wilson, Micah Wilson, Jude Wilson, and Phoebe Wilson; brothers, Jeff (Sharon) Wilson and Wade (Gwyn) Wilson;   and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Karen Wyatt and Connie Bogart; infant brother, Don Michael.

A visitation will be held for friends and family on Thursday, November 18, 2021, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Kistler-Patterson Funeral Home in Olney.
A funeral service will be held for Steve at 10:00 AM on Friday, November 19, 2021 at Kistler-Patterson Funeral Home in Olney. Interment will follow at Maple Dale Cemetery in Olney, with Full Military Rites to be performed at the Graveside.
