Marvin Lomas

Marvin Allen Lomas, 61, of West Salem, went to be with Jesus Thursday April 3, 2008 at his residence.

A memorial service held at House of Prayer in Albion with Pastor Kirk Smith officiating. Graveside services at Marion Christian Church Cemetery at a later date.

Mr. Lomas was born in West Salem, the son of Johnie and Helen Lomas. He accepted Jesus into his heart and was baptized Easter Sunday in 1989. He married Patricia Sager on November 22, 1964 in Imlay City, Mich. She survives.

He worked at AMF, Champion Laboratories, Inc., was a house parent at Cookson Hills Children's Home and owned and operated Marv's Feed Service for the last 15 years. He was a member of House of Prayer in Albion and East Richland Coon Hunters Association.

Mr. Lomas is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 43 years, Patricia (Sager) Lomas; son, Dewane Lomas and his fiancee, Melissa Galiher of West Salem; daughter, Sherrie Brake and her husband, Tony of Evansville, Ind.; mother, Helen (Ibbottson) Lomas of West Salem; brothers, Larry Lomas and his wife, Mary of Olney, Ronnie Lomas and his wife, Diane of Noble and Richard Lomas and his wife, Lesa Davis of Olney; sisters, Beverly McMahel of Bone Gap and Vicki Murphy and her husband, Jim of Lapeer, Mich.; brother, Johnie Lomas Jr. of West Salem; grandchildren, Amanda and Jacob Brake and Tyler, Logan and Kyle Lomas; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father.
