I grew up in the same block as Karen from the 5th grade on.  She became a friend and was a great playmate.  Many an evening was spent playing croquet, badmitton, or kick the can until the street lights came on and then it was time to go home.  Eventually we both grew up and traveled our separate journeys in life.  I still saw her from time to time and she was still a good friend, friendly, warm, and caring.  I will miss her.  My prayers go out to her family who will miss her even more.     Judy Hill Walker
