Stanley A. Talley, 62, of Olney, passed away on Friday, September 30, 2022 at Deaconess Midtown Hospital, Evansville, IN. Stanley was born on June 12, 1960 in Richland County, Illinois, the son of Duane and Norma (Mowery) Talley.

Stan graduated from East Richland High School and attended Southwest Baptist University where he earned his bachelor’s degree. He served as a youth pastor at Erven Avenue Baptist Church, and he worked at Streator Baptist Camp and Retreat Center. Stan also participated in several mission trips during his life.

In the last few years, Stan had moved back to Olney and began working at Richland Memorial Hospital. He was an avid collector of vintage memorabilia, but he was best known for his masterful storytelling.

Stan is survived by his sister, Sheryl Loch of Las Vegas, NV; brother, Stewart Talley of Reno, NV; and nieces, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

A funeral service will be held for Stan at 11:00 AM on Monday, October 10, 2022 at Kistler-Patterson Funeral Home in Olney, with a visitation beginning one hour before service time at the funeral home.

Cremation Rites will be accorded following the services, and interment will take place on at Haven Hill Memorial Gardens in Olney at a later date.
