Janet Ochs

Janet Marie Ochs, 18, 823 East Chestnut St., was found dead by her parents at 9 a.m. Sunday, June 17, 1979 at her home.

Coroner Susan Landis said a final diagnosis of the cause of death will not be made until lab and toxicology studies are completed. The coroner said the woman had a long-standing history of asthma.

Services at the St. Joseph's Church in Olney, the Reverend Frs. Dan Ochs, Donald Eichenseer and Tom Miller  officiating. Burial in St. Joseph's Cemetery.

Miss Ochs was born on October 18, 1960 in Olney, daughter of Kenneth and Marcella (Raugh) Ochs.

She is survived by her parents; two brothers, Michael and Robert; one sister, Sharon, all of Olney; several cousins, aunts and uncles. She is also survived by her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Ochs, Dundas and Mr. and Mrs. Cletus Rauch, Olney.

Miss Ochs was a student at Olney Central College and worked at the Olney IGA. She was a member of the St. Joseph's Church of Olney; was president of Go and Sew 4-H Club; a member of the 4-H Federation and of the Newman Club at OCC.
