Jeffrey David Golden, 48, of Johnston City, Illinois passed away on Tuesday, April 22, 2008 at the Memorial Hospital of Carbondale.  Jeffrey was born January 26, 1960, in Effingham, the son of Jack and Janette (Tegenkamp) Golden. He married Elizabeth (Phillips) on January 2, 1999 in Herrin. She survives.

Jeffrey was a parts manager for Ike Honda in Marion. He enjoyed spending time with his family and was a devoted Trekkie.

He is survived by two sons, Otakar Kristopher Kudrna; and Anthony Warren Golden; three sisters, Marcia Esders and husband Randy of Lafayette, IN, Deanna Nelson and husband Tim of Cobden, and Mary Lameda of Cookeville, TN; two brothers, James Golden and wife Becky of Makanda, and Christopher Golden of Anna; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and one brother-in-law, Raphael Lameda.

The family would like to express special thanks to Memorial Hospital of Carbondale ICU staff, the Burris family, Lori Sisulak and family, and to the employees of Ike Honda.

Services held at the St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Johnston City with Msgr. Ken Schaefer officiating. Visitation at the Murman & Wilson Funeral Home in Johnston City.

Memorials may be made to a trust fund at Herrin Security Bank for Anthony’s education. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
