Eric John Trost, 64, passed away on Tuesday, April 25, 2023 at Deaconess Midtown Hospital in Evansville, Indiana. He was born January 12, 1959 in Mt. Clemens, Michigan, the oldest son of John “Jack” Trost and Carol (Coulter) Trost. In 2009 he married his present wife Cindy and started his own business, Dirt Works.

Eric loved the four seasons, NASCAR, baseball, basketball, and football. He loved being outside spending time with his dog Dusty at the farm. His greatest love and girlfriend, his 1966 Nova, he often entered in shows. He was a graduate of East Richland High School, Class of 1977.

Eric is survived by his wife, Cindy; son, Justin Gore of Newport News, Virginia; step-daughter, Trina (Pat) Canada of Newton, Illinois; step-mother, Mary Trost of Olney; grandson, Mark Lawson; step-grandson, Gavin Harmon; and step-grandsons, Logan and Peyton Canada.

He was preceded in death by his father, John “Jack” Trost and brother Kevin Trost.

A celebration of life will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, April 29, 2023 at Kistler Patterson Funeral Home in Olney, with a visitation beginning at 9:30 AM and lasting to service time.
