Thea Tipton Ginder Class of 1977Thea Tipton Ginder, 57 passed away December 24, 2015 in the emergency room at Richland Memorial Hospital in Olney.  Funeral services held at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Stringtown with Father Mark Stec officiating.  A Mass of Christian Burial in St. Joseph Cemetery in Stringtown.

Thea was born December 23, 1958 in Olney, IL to parents Firmen "Gene" and Betty (Warner) L. Tipton. She married Marvin Ginder on December 9, 1978 in Stringtown, IL.

Thea was a very social person, never meeting a stranger. She had a big heart, always willing to help anyone in need. She was heavily involved with the creation of the local Share Pregnancy and Infant Loss Group and most recently, volunteered her time at the East Orchard Christian Academy.

Thea enjoyed crafting and quilting, making several items over the years. She enjoyed donating her numerous crafts for the craft stand for the Stringtown Church annual picnic. She enjoyed the company of all her animals, both indoor and outdoor. Thea had a passion for collecting angels and displaying them in her home. It was one of her favorite gifts to give people.

Thea loved her family more than anything. Her biggest joys were her grandchildren and she also considered her daughters-in-law and sons-in-law as her own. She lived her final days surrounded by the ones she loved most.

She is survived by her husband of 37 years, Marvin Ginder of Stringtown; son, Tyler Ginder and wife Jill of Olney; daughter, Renee Goble and husband Chris of Charleston, IL; son, Cole Ginder and wife Janice of Stringtown; daughter, Kayla Adkins and husband Brant of Dieterich, IL; daughter, TaLoni Ginder of Stringtown; mother, Betty L. Tipton of West Salem; grandchildren, Gus and Ava Ginder, Dominic and Georgia Goble, Haley and Kaitlyn Ginder; brothers, Mike (Kay) Tipton, Gary (Cindy) Tipton; sister, Rachael Knackmus, and several nieces and nephews.

Thea was preceded in death by her father; daughter, M'Leah Angel Ginder; brother, Joseph Tipton, and nephew Brett Ginder.

Memorials can be made to Olney Illinois Chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.
