Samuel Lee Ryals, 66, of Olney passed away on March 15, 2019 in Olney. He was born on June 7, 1952 in Richland Co., IL son of  Victor and Sarah Pauline (Runyon) Ryals. 

Sam lived for many years near the Gulf of Mexico and enjoyed the ocean. He took pleasure in visiting and spending time with family. He especially enjoyed visiting Arkansas where he was raised and had a lot of family. Sam was a good man and had a strong religious faith. He was a US Navy Veteran. He also had an interest in history books as well as reading the old classics.

He is survived by sister, Patricia Meador Hogan and husband Earl Hogan of Mena, AR; several cousins, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers and sisters.

Graveside services at Greenhill Cemetery, rural Noble with Full Military Rites performed.
