Jeff Patterson, 52, died Sunday, December 18, 2005 at home surrounded by his family after a courageous 20-year battle with brain cancer.

Jeff was born January 20, 1953 in Olney. He graduated from East Richland High School in 1971. He received his undergraduate and graduate degrees at Florida State University, Tallahassee, receiving his Ph.D. in educational administration in 1983.

He taught at bond and Oak Ridge elementary schools and was principal at Dunlap, Thomasville, Ga. and Chaires Elementary schools prior to his retirement in January 2003.

Jeff  was active in Good Shepherd Catholic Church. He loved tennis and time spent with his tennis friends. He enjoyed sports.

Jeff is survived by his wife of 29 years, Jerri; his daughter, Traci of Chicago; his mother, Lois Patterson of Olney; his brother, Brad Patterson of Overland Park, Kan.; and his aunts, Mabel Gillen and Mary Clark of Olney.

He was preceded in death by his father, Clinton E. Patterson.
