Brenda K. Duckworth, 59, passed away at her home in Eldorado, Illinois, Aug. 7, 2013 from inoperable cancer.

She was born in Olney to Harry V. and Martha L. Moore on Oct. 2, 1953. They predeceased her.

She was a graduate of East Richland High School.

Brenda was a registered nurse from 1974 until the present. She received her ADN at Olney Central College and her BSN at SIU-Edwardsville. She later received her Nurse Practitioner degree from Frontier Nursing University in Hyden, Ky., and was licensed in the state of Illinois in family practice.

She enjoyed gardening, reading and sewing.

She is survived by her husband, Dan Duckworth of Eldorado; her son, Ronald Bangert of Clay City; and her daughters, Elizabeth (Kenny) Mayhall of Harrisburg and Sarah Duckworth of Eldorado. She is also survived by her sister, Sherry (Bob) Fitzpatrick of Longwood, Fla.; her two brothers, Mark Moore of Clay County and Gene Moore of West Virginia; her sister-in-law, Carol Hilliard of Marion; her aunt, Irma Means of Noble; and several nieces and nephews.

There will be no services at this time. A family memorial service will be held at a later date.
