Robert Wayne "Bob" Messenger, 53, of Olney died Saturday, February 4, 2006 at his residence.  Cremation rites accorded.

Mr. Messenger was born on May 30, 1952 in Crawford County, the son of Charles and Mary Louise (Chapman) Messenger. He married Candie Keiffer on May 28, 1994.

He was a machinist for Caterpillar in Aurora for 30 years. He was a member of UWA 145 for 30 years.

Mr. Messenger is survived by his wife, Candie Messenger of Olney; his mother, Mary Louise Turner of Olney; two stepdaughters, Tiffany Musselwhite of Hutsonville and Ashlee Armstrong at home; three brothers, Terry Messenger and his wife, Sally of Robinson, Jerry Messeynger and his wife, Judy of Boston, Mass., and Lon Messenger and his wife, Sally of Warrenville; and sister, Barbara Wilmouth and her husband, Steve of Marshall.

He was preceded in death by his father and son, Justin Robert.
