Roger L. Sterchi, 70, of Morton, Illinois, died on Monday, January 17, 2022 at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center in Peoria, Illinois. Roger was born on November 23, 1951 in East Chicago, Indiana, the son of Dale Sterchi and Betty (Cralle).

Roger enjoyed fishing at East Fork Lake and watching car races on TV and in person. He also loved being outside and riding motorcycles and boating. He enjoyed listening to classic rock music and passed that passion onto his children. Roger helped on the family farm and was a hard worker. Roger’s personality and sense of humor will be missed by all those that knew him.

Roger is survived by his son, Eric Sterchi and wife Staci of Morton, IL; daughter, Jamie Jennings of Chicago, IL; granddaughter, Madelyn Sterchi of Morton, IL; sister, Sharon Brooks of Olney; brother, Dennis Sterchi of Indianapolis, IN; brother, Alan Sterchi of Olney; sister, Kendra Sager of Savoy, IL; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

A funeral service for Roger will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, January 29, 2022 at Kistler-Patterson Funeral Home in Olney with a visitation beginning one-hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
