Barbara Barnhart (Mulvey)

Mrs. Paul (Barbara Anne) Mulvey age 60 of Newton passed away Monday, May 21, 2012 at Barnes Jewish Hospital, St. Louis, Mo.  Funeral services at the Crain Funeral Home with Bro. Ron Mulvey officiating. Burial in the West Lawn Cemetery, Newton, Illinois.

Barbara was born on July 5, 1951 in Butler, Pennsylvania, the daugher of Ted and Jean (Johnston) Barnhart. On September 4, 1971, Barbara married Paul Mulvey. He survives. She was a substance abuse counselor for Heartland Human Services in Effingham, IL. Barbara was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She loved to read, as it was said she had read through the Newton Public Library. She was a giving person in life and even in death as she chose to be an organ donor.

She will be loved and remembered by her husband, Paul Mulvey; sons, Michael Mulvey, wife, Jodi and Matthew Mulvey, wife Nichole; daughters, Teresa Mulvey and Laura Mulvey all of Newton; five grandchildren; brothers, Ted Barnhart, wife Deborah of New Lenox, IL and Tim Barnhart, wife Patti of Fishers, IN; sister, Sanna DeKovessey, husband, Charles of Rockport, IN; and many nieces and nephews.

Her parents preceded her in death.

Barb was a great classmate of mine and she later took a College Class I taught! Just a WONDERFUL person!
