Susan Lybarger, 58, of Salem died Thursday July 2, 2009 at Good Samaritan Regional Health Center in Mt. Vernon.

Funeral services at First Christian Church in Salem with Minister Bob Teel and Minister Phil Martin officiating. Burial in 1880 Cemetery in Omega.

Mrs. Lybarger was born August 10, 1950, the daughter of Harold Eugene and Lola Mae (Widger) Smith. She married Robert Lybarger on March 20, 1970 in Newton. He survives.

She was a retired secretary and office manager. She was a member of First Christian Church.

Mrs. Lybarger is survived by her husband, Robert Lybarger of Salem; two sons, Matt and Joli Lybarger of Salem and Tim and Amy Lybarger of Urbana; four brothers, Mike Smith of Indiana, Joe Smith of Olney, Arlon Smith of Olney and Roger Smith of Tennessee; two sisters, Sally Prater of Tennessee and Sylvia of Flora; and four grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Milton Smith.
