Wilma E. ('Laine) Royse Dickey, 66, of Pawnee, Illinois passed away February 18, 2016 at 10:05 p.m. at her home with her family at her side.

She was born April 19, 1949, in Olney, IL, the daughter of Ernest and Alma Jenkins Royse.  She married John Dickey in 1981.

Laine began her teaching career in 1972 and retired after 35 years.

She was preceded in death by her father, Ernest B. Royse; brother, Julian; brother-in law, Jim Clark; niece, Emily Royse Davis, and nephews, Cordon Kennedy and James Clark.

She is survived by her husband John Dickey; daughters, Lindsey Sims (fiancé Eric Helms) and Ashley Dickey; granddaughter, Addyson Sims; and her mother, Alma Royse, Olney, IL; five sisters, Anita (George) Westall, Noble, IL; Marilyn (Kirk) Jefferis, Springfield, IL; Paula (John Scott) Clark, Parkersburg, IL, Joanne (Alan) Bunning, Lafayette, IN, Carolyn (Robert) Norton, Auburn, AL; three brothers: Merle (Lana) Royse, Olney, IL, Neil (Debbie) Royse, Champaign, IL, Ivan Royse, Olney, IL, and widow of Julian, Wynona Alvord (Burt),Olney.

Services at Bramley Funeral Home, Auburn. Burial in Stout Cemetery.

The family requests that donations be made to the ALS Association or Pawnee Food Pantry.
