Brenda S. Schrey, 50, of Olney, died Thursday, February 4, 1999, at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville, Ind.

Schrey was born Dec. 13, 1948 in Richland County, the daughter of Murvin Bernell and Loyse (Bateman) McKnight.  She married Russell E. "Sonny" Sterchi. He preceded her in death June 18, 1981.  She then married Terry Schrey Feb. 14, 1994.

She was a school teacher for 28 years and most recently was a fifth grade teacher at Central School in Olney.  She was a member of Olney Church of the Nazarene.

She is survived by her husband, Terry Schrey, of Olney; one brother, John McKnight of Kamloops, British Columbia, Canada; two sisters, Phyllis Batra of Whitewater, Wisc., and Kaye Frisk of Sandy, Utah; mother, Loyse McKnight of Olney; and nephews, Jason Batra and Scott and Dave Frisk.

She was preceded in death by her father; a brother, Ronald; a sister, Shirley and first husband, Sonny.
