Steven Lee Heindselman, 20, of Olney, Rt. 5, was killed at about 7:20 this morning September 30, 1969, when the car he was driving was involved in a collision with a B & O freight train, about two miles west of Olney.

The accident happened at the railroad crossing of the Elwood School Road, between routes 50 and 250. He was driving a 1961 Ford. The train was westbound. Steven was thrown from the vehicle by the impact. He was rushed to Richland Memorial Hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival.

Steven Lee Heindselman was born in Olney, September 10, 1949.  He was a 1967 graduate of East Richland High School and attended Olney Central College before entering x-ray training at the hospital here.

He is survived by his parents, Glenn (Bud) and Wanda Heindselman of Olney; three brothers, Richard 16, Jay 10, and Michael 4; and two sisters, Debra 18, and Sheryl 12, all at home.

Also surviving are grandparents, Mrs. Murvin (Essie) Heindselman of Olney and Mr. and Mrs. Telford Farris of Olney.

Services at Schaub Funeral Home with Rev. Lowell McDowell officiating. Interment in Crest Haven Cemetery.
