Miss Linda Sue Deck, age 17, passed away very suddenly yesterday afternoon Tuesday, May 16, 1967 at the home of her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Cloyd Deck at 433 West Chestnut St., Olney.

She had complained to school officials of not feeling well at ERHS yesterday and had been excused by school officials after telling them she would go to the home of her grandparents.

A coroner’s medical report showed the death was from natural causes.  The specific cause was “right ventricular heart disease”.

Miss Deck was born in Olney June 17, 1949 the daughter of James E. Deck and Doris Jackson Deck. She was a senior at ERHS and would have graduated with the class of 1967.  Miss Deck was a member of the Faith Bible Church and had an intense interest in the Church and considered its members as her second family.

She leaves her parents, Mr. and Mrs. James Deck of Rt. 6, Olney; a sister, Diana Lynne and a brother, Danny Lee, both at home.  She also leaves her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Cloyd Deck of Olney and Mr. and Mrs. Walter Jackson of Noble.

Funeral services held in the Memorial Chapel of the Summers-Rainey Funeral Home with the Rev. Louis Kraft officiating.  Interment in Haven Hill Cemetery.
