Douglas Keith Malcom, 56, of Casey, IL, formerly of Robinson IL and Olney, IL passed away at 2:45 p.m. on Wednesday, July 30th, 2014 at Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center, Mattoon IL.

He was born January 20, 1958 in Terre Haute, IN, the son of Forest D. “Frosty” Malcom and Loreda I. Carlen Malcom.

Survivors include step-mother, Betty Jean Malcom of Robinson, IL, brothers, Roger E. Malcom of Indianapolis, IN, and David L. Malcom of Bon Aqua, TN, step-sister, Carolyn (Jim) Brendemuehl of Lake Wales, FL, step-brother, Dr. Brian (Gena) Woodard of Carbondale, IL; nephew, David Ray Malcom of Bon Aqua, TN and several aunts and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, parents and sister-in-law, Deborah Malcom.

Douglas graduated from East Richland High School in Olney, IL in 1976. He also attended Eastern Illinois University and Vincennes University. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Olney, IL.

His many interests included antiquing, vintage advertisements, geology, coins and military history. He was also an avid reader.
