Sherry Lynn Sanders, 39, of Claremont, died Monday, Jan. 19, 1998, at her residence.  Services at Summers-Kistler Funeral Home in Olney with Rev. Gary B. Ryden officiating. Burial in Crest Haven Cemetery near Claremont.

Sanders was born Sept. 26, 1958, in Effingham, the daughter of LaVerle and Connie (Crouse) Walden. She married Albert Alan "Satch" Sanders Sept. 17, 1977.

She worked in the sewing department at Bona Allen Saddle Company in Olney.

She is survived by her husband; one son, Derek Sanders, at home; one daughter, Leigha Sanders, at home; one step-daughter, Angela Sanders, of DeKalb; one step-brother, Richard Ashby, of Vincennes, Ind.; one sister, Misty Piro and her husband, Dave, of LaCrosse, Wisc.; two step-sisters, Tina Petts, of Decker, Ind., and Vickie Buescher, of Vincennes, Ind.; mother and step-father, Connie and John Ashby, of Olney; mother-in-law, Mary A. Sanders, of Olney; and grandmother, Evelyn Crouse, of Newton.

She was preceded in death by her father.
