Leslie "Dale" Taylor, 56, of Olney died Sunday March 17, 2013 at Deaconess Gateway Heart Hospital in Newburgh, Indiana

"Dale" was born on January 22, 1957 in Olney, Illinois, the son of Clyde E. Taylor and Wanda Mae (Gregory). He married Tammy Goemaat and she preceded him in death.

Dale loved being around family, friends and enjoying life while he could. He was a truck driver most of his life in his early years so he was very fortunate to have seen most of the United States. He also had the privilege of taking his two children when they were younger on trips with him so he was able to open their eyes to the many sights also. 

In the last few years he had become very open with God and accepted him into his heart. He became very active with his church and enjoyed doing things with all his church family. On his free time he loved getting together with his friends and playing poker and going to bingo. He loved throwing cookouts and gatherings so everyone would have a reason to be together. He loved going out to eat with his friends and spending time with his special friend Ramona.

Dale is survived by his son, Jeremy Taylor of Olney; Daughter, Ashley Taylor of Olney; Granddaughter, Mylee Huffman of Olney; Brother, Wayne Taylor of Olney; Special Friend, Ramona Dickey of Olney; and the many adopted children he has claimed over the years, you know who you are.

He was preceded in death by his parents and wife, Tammy.
