Richard Ross "Rick" Schrader, 51, of Springfield, Illinois died Tuesday, July 1, 2008, at St. John's Hospital.

He was born Aug. 23, 1956, in Flora, the son of Howard and Margaret Leathers Schrader. He married Susan G. "Susie" Coffman on Dec. 10, 1994.

He was preceded in death by his mother and grandparents, Ira and Gertrude Leathers.

He is survived by his wife, Susie Schrader of Springfield; his father, Howard Schrader; a son, James Schrader of Olney; a grandson; a sister, Kema Davis of Olney; two brothers, Bill Robertson of Olney and Phillip Mudd of Indiana; and a niece and nephew, Valerie Davis and Randall Davis, both of Olney.

He was a resident of Springfield since October 1994. He worked as a paraprofessional at Lee School for seven years. He was a member of Living Hope Church. He attended Christian Training Institute in Taylorville and Olney Central College.

Services at Staab Funeral Home with the Rev. Greg Roe officiating. Burial at Oak Hill Cemetery.
