Linda Jackson (Capps)

Linda Kay Capps, 57, of Green River, Wyoming passed away peacefully at her home, surrounded by her family on Saturday, January 11, 2014. A resident of Green River for the past thirteen years and former resident of Illinois, Ms. Capps passed away following a fight against breast cancer in 2000 and was in remission until it returned in 2013.

She was born in Olney, Illinois on February 10, 1956, the daughter of Robert Olan Jackson and Shelby Jean Novak Jackson.

Ms. Capps attended school in Claremont, Illinois and graduated from East Richland High School with the Class of 1975. She also attended college where she became a certified nurses assistant.

She married Keith Capps in Claremont, Illinois on June 19, 1996 and later divorced.

Ms. Capps worked as a certified nurses assistant at the Pine Lawn in Summer, Illinois from the early 1980’s til late 1990’s until she could not work due to poor health.  She was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles in Green River, Wyoming.

Her interests included bingo, fishing, enjoyed the company of friends and family. She loved life and her Yorkie “Baby Cakes” and cat “Blue”.

Survivors include her parents, ex-husband Keith Capps of Green River, Wyoming; one son Robert Junior Harris of Green River, Wyoming; one brother Lee Jackson and wife Christine of Sullivan, Illinois; two sisters Patricia Harmon and Carol Schrader both of Claremont, Illinois and several nephews and nieces and several great-nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents; one sister Letha Jackson and one brother Jackie Jackson.

Cremation has taken place at the Vase White Mountain Crematory and memorial services will be held at a later date.

Debbie Novak (Jones) (1970)

I did not know Linda myself  even though we are related. The timing just did not work out so we could meet , I suppose .

My sympathies go out to her family .  I know what a trying time this has been for all of them because of the distance factor .

 I am sorry for your loss , Shelby and Robert  and the rest of the family . "Rest in Peace , Linda "

Bobbi Jackson (Boatner) (2004)

my aunt Lnda was an amazing woman and always will be. I will miss her deeply. She is in heaven with my aunt Letha and between them 2 they are just a talkn up a storm, and doing god only knows. Love you guys
