Daniel "Danny" Deck, 59, of Olney, passed away Wednesday, July 27, 2016 at Richland Memorial Hospital in Olney.  Services at Kistler-Patterson Funeral Home with burial in Haven Hill Cemetery, Olney.

Danny was born on August 19, 1956 in Olney, the son of James and Doris (Jackson) Deck.  He married Judy Wyatt on June 27, 1981 at Parkersburg Christian Church.  She preceded him in death on June 15, 2015.

Danny was interested in genealogy and was a historian and was involved in the naming of the Robert Ridgway Bridge on Rte. 50.  Danny was a Sunday School teacher and donated his time to activities at the churches he attended.  He was a caregiver for his elderly grandparents.  Danny treasured his wife, Judy, and they were married for 34 years.

He was a member of Blain Church.

Danny is survived by his mother, Doris Deck of Olney; sister, Diana Deck of Noble; sister-in-law, Jane (Monte) Stevens of Parkersburg; niece, Kelly (Tom) Hanna; nephew, Brian (Vanessa) Stevens; five great nephews, several cousins, two aunts, and an uncle.

He was preceded in death by his father, wife, sister, Linda Deck, and infant sister, Julie Deck.
