John Arthur Bailey , 57 of Dundas, passed away at his home surrounded by his wife and daughters, on October 14, 2014.

He was born to Arthur and Arleen (Saye) Bailey on June 10, 1957. He married Carol Eblin in 1986.

John enjoyed fishing and gardening. He was an avid sports fan and watched numerous sports; basketball, baseball, football, and others. He took pleasure in spending time with his family especially his grandson, Tyler. They attended OCC basketball games together and watched Chicago Bear football.

John is survived by his wife of 28 years, Carol Bailey of Dundas, daughters, Wendy Rubsam and husband Bradley of Olney and Carrie Holley of Mt. Vernon, IN; grandson, Tyler Rubsam; brother, Frank and wife Cathy Bailey; sisters, Evelyn Novak and Sue Bailey; sister-in-law, Shirley Bailey, and several nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers Richard Bailey, and William Bailey; sister Sally Ladson, and brother-in-law Merle Novak

Memorial donations to American Cancer Society or Hospice of Southeastern Illinois.
