Loy Keith Sturgeon, 56, of Olney, died  Wednesday, December 12, 2012, at Burgin Manor in Olney.  Funeral services at Summers-Kistler Funeral Home with Reverend Father Jerry Wirth officiating. Private family burial held at a later date at Haven Hill Memorial Gardens in Olney.

Mr. Sturgeon was born January 9, 1956, in Olney, the son of Gene “Buddy” and Opal Sturgeon. He married Lynne Fehrenbacher on April 22, 1978, at St. Joseph Catholic Church. She survives.

He was of the Christian faith. He was an avid racing fan and enjoyed attending races with his family and friends.

Mr. Sturgeon is survived by his wife, Lynne Sturgeon; son, Landon Sturgeon, of Lafayette, Ind.; sister, Leah Willis and her husband, Larry, of Olney; sister-in-law, Denise Hull and her husband, Jim, of Olney; sister-in-law, Nicole Sanders and her husband, Sean, of Noble; sister-in-law, Lori West and her husband, Tony, of Bowling Green, Ky.; mother-in-law, Pat Abel, of Olney; stepmother-in-law, Diane Fehrenbacher, of Olney; stepfather-in-law, Don Abel, of Olney; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Gene “Buddy” and Opal Sturgeon, and daughter, Lauren Elayne Sturgeon.
