T. Denise “Dee” (Stovall) Boughan, age 67, of Oblong, Illinois passed away Wednesday, July 26, 2023 at her residence. She was born May 25, 1956 in Vincennes, Indiana, the daughter of Robert Bruce and C. Charlene (Stover) Stovall. On March 25, 1978 she married Keith Boughan.

Dee was a farmwife. She enjoyed making crafts and floral arrangements, cooking, shopping, poker machines, going to dinner, and spending time with family. She was an avid reader, and enjoyed antiquing. She was a loving, giving person, but was quick witted with a sharp tongue.

Along with her husband Keith, she is survived by three children: Chad Boughan and his wife, Heather of Sumner, Illinois, Kristy Bailey and her companion, Derek Gill of Oblong, Illinois, and Casey Boughan of St. Louis, Missouri; four grandchildren: Emily Boughan, Harley Richmond, Mason Boughan, and Kyle Boughan; two brothers: Bob Stovall and wife, Gena of Pioneer, Tennessee and Bruce Stovall of Elmira, Oregon; a sister: Paula Littlejohn and her husband, Lee of Sumner, Illinois; brothers-in-law: Donnie and Sue Boughan and Jerry Boughan all of Chauncey, Illinois; and several nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents; a sister: Terri (Boughan) Reisz; father and mother-in-law: Leroy and Lenora Boughan; and a brother-in-law: Dave Boughan.

The funeral will be Monday, July 31, 2023 at 11:00am CDT at the Sivert-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home in Sumner, Illinois, with burial to follow in the Waggoner Cemetery in Chauncey, Illinois. 

Memorial donations may be given to Paws and Claws Building Fund in Olney, Illinois or to the Chauncey Community Baseball in Chauncey, Illinois.
