Jerry J. McVaigh, age 57, of Olney, Illinois passed away Friday November 22nd, 2013 in Olney.

He was born August 30th, 1956, in Olney, IL. the son of Ray and Grace (Legg) McVaigh. He married Barbara Bristow October 4th, 1974 in West Salem, IL.

He was a longtime Law Enforcement Officer for Richland and Edwards Counties and he also an avid outdoorsman.

Survivors include wife Barbara of Olney; daughters Misty (Keith) Collard of Grayville, IL., Tanya (Toby) Leaf of Berryville, IL.; son Marcus (Danielle) McVaigh of Olney, IL; Father & Mother-in-law Richard and Pat Bristow of Albion, IL. Brother-in-law Don Schwarzlose of West Salem, IL; Sister-in-law Kathy Headley of Albion, IL; Aunt Helen Berger of Claremont, IL; Grandchildren Autumn, Skyler & Preston Leaf, Hunter Collard, Conner & Braxton McVaigh and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and sister-in-law Vicki Schwarzlose

Services conducted at the First Christian Church in West Salem, Illinois. Burial in the Shiloh Cemetery.
