Mary Morrison (Weber) Redman, 97, of Olney, Illinois passed away on Wednesday, April 13, 2022 at Carle Richland Memorial Hospital. Mary was born on June 29, 1924 in Olney, Illinois, the daughter of James August Weber and Eugenia Morrison Powers. She married James Beaird Redman on July 1, 1942, and he preceded her in death on May 30, 2007.

Mary was a local artist renowned for her watercolors. She and her husband, James, were local merchants running the La Ruth's women's apparel shop.

Mary is survived by her children, Michael Redman and his wife, Penny, of Seattle, Wash., Mary Lepp and her husband, Dr. Don, of Yankton, S.D., Kate Sterrett and her husband, William, of Inverness, IL, and Judith B. Redman, of Olney; grandchildren, Kaaren Redman, Dr. Mary Redman, Dr. Nathan Lepp (Dr. Kevin Kriegel), Guy Sterrett (Konda Sterrett) and Molly Batzer (Scott Batzer); and great-grandchildren, Allie Sterrett, Jordan Khan, Katie Batzer and Ian Batzer.

She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; brothers, Dr. Eugene Weber, Dr. James Weber JR, and John Weber; sisters, Katharina "Kitty" Fye, George Jolly "Dordie" Rye, and Eugenia "Puzi" Edmiston.

A graveside funeral service will be held for Mary at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, April 19, 2022 at Haven Hill Cemetery in Olney. Interment will immediately follow the service.
