Lula Louise Williamson, 78, of Danville, died Friday August 23, 2002 at St. Francis Select in Beach Grove, Ind.

Funeral services at First United Methodist Church in Olney with Reverend Scott Carlson officiating. Burial in Haven Hill Cemetery in Olney.

Mrs. Williamson was born on April 26, 1924 in Olney, the daughter of Robert and Jessie May (Scherer) Sterchi. She married James Wilbur Williamson June 2, 1946. He preceded her in death on December 23, 1970.

She attended Oak Dale Grade School and graduated from Olney High School. She had worked at Olney Telephone, Olney Jackson Hospital, Dr. W.R. Dale, Furry Machine, Walgreen Accounting and had owned and operated Danville General Refrigeration with her husband. She was a former member of First United Methodist Church of Olney and was a member of St. James Methodist of Danville. She enjoyed knitting, playing bridge and especially loved her family and grandchildren.

Mrs. Williamson is survived by three children; Mitzi Pape, Jeff Williamson and Gairi Williamson; seven grandchildren; four brothers, Robert Sterchi and his wife, Floy, Dale Sterchi and his wife, Betty, Elmer Sterchi and his wife, Ande all of Olney and Carl Sterchi and his wife, Ardith of Evansville, Ind. and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents and an infant sister, Mary Elizabeth Sterchi.
