Charlamagne A. Koertge

Charles A. Koertge, 61, of Pekin, Illinois, formerly of Olney died Monday, November 18, 1985 at the Pekin service station where he was employed.  Services at the Liberty Baptist Church in Pekin with Rev. Jerry Barron presiding.  Graveside services at Ebenezer Cemetery in rural Richland County.

He was born on November 12, 1924, the son of Charles and Mary Bunch Koertge.  He married Frances Jennings on September 25, 1970 in Peoria and she survives.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by three sons, David Koertge of Mulberry Grove, Donald Koertge of Dallas, Tx. and Richard Koertge of Macomb; a daughter, Mrs. Rosalyn Powers of St. Louis, Mo.; three brothers, Joseph Koertge of Peoria, Walter Koertge of Frankfurt and Kelly Koertge of Bloomington; a sister, Leta Stallard of Olney; two step-daughters, Donna Walton and Debera Ibbotson; two step-sons, Steven Ibbotson and David Ibbotson and ten grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one brother.

He was a farmer in Richland County for several years before moving to Pekin, where he was employed at Glover's Service Station.
