Wanda Lee (Gayer) Jones, 70, of Lawrenceville, Illinois passed away June 22, 1995 in the United Methodist Village in Lawrenceville, Illinois. She was born June 18, 1924 in Olney, Il,  the daughter of Purl and Cora (Schrader) Gayer. She married H. Elwood Jones and he preceded her in death May 8, 1995.

Mrs. Jones was a member of First Southern Baptist Church in North Glenn, Colorado, was a retired bookkeeper for the Rocky Mountain Newspaper in Denver, Colorado.

She is survived by a daughter, Linda Pettyjohn of Lawrenceville; a step-son, Don Jones of Brownsburg, IN; a step-daughter, Marilyn Sue Tomlin of Westminister, CO; a brother, Dale Gayer of Mt. Carmel; two sisters, Waldyne Seed of Lawrenceville and Mary Lou Hesler of Robinson; two grandchildren, Felecia Burns and Cara Pettyjohn; a great-grandson and several great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, a brother and a sister.

Graveside services held in the Lawrenceville City Cemetery, Lawrenceville, Illinois.
