Barbara (Gassmann) Harris, 59, San Francisco, California, and formerly of Olney died Monday July 2, 1984 in San Francisco. Funeral Mass held in St. Joseph Catholic Church with Rev. Father Bill Rowe presiding. Burial in St. Joseph Cemetery.

Mrs. Harris was born April 13, 1925 in Olney, the daughter of Zean and Gertrude (Weber) Gassmann. She married Victor Harris March 2, 1963 in San Francisco and he survives.

Barbara Harris attended the Olney schools and graduated from the University of Illinois. After employment in Olney, Europe and St. Louis, Mo., she was employed by the California Academy of Family Practice, San Francisco where, prior to her illness, she was the executive director.

Other survivors include her mother, Gertrude Weber Gassmann, Olney; five sisters, Mary Stonecipher, Katherine Schaub and Elizabeth Vaughn, all of Olney; Martha Kraeger, Chicago; Gertrude Reynolds, Rockford; three brothers, George and Henry Gassmann both of Olney and Frank Gassmann, Madison, Ind.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Zean, Jr. and John and her father, Zean.
