Raymond Castle Ferren, 74 of Olney, died Saturday January 11, 1997 at Richland Memorial Hospital in Olney.  Burial in Haven Hill Cemetery in Olney.

Ferren was born May 26, 1922 in Richland County, the son of Raymond N. and Edna (Adamson) Ferren. He married Ruth I. Barker September 3, 1966. She preceded him in death May 9, 1994.

He was a retired sign painter, a member of First United Methodist Church in Olney, a member of the Masonic Lodge in Olney and was a Justice of the Peace and precinct committeeman for the Republican Party for several years.

He is survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents and wife.
