Funeral services for Jean L. (Evans) Harper, 53, of Flora and formerly of Richland County will be Saturday at Summers Funeral Home with Rev. E. T. Phelps Jr. of the Flora First Christian Church officiating. Mrs. Harper passed away February 2, 1978.

Interment in Crest Haven Memorial Park.

Ms. Harper was a native of Richland County and was born March 8, 1924 at Noble, the daughter of Harry C. Evans and Ola (Hobson) Evans. She married George Harper December 26, 1953.  Mr. & Mrs. Harper had lived for the past several years in Flora.

Surviving are her husband, George; mother, Mrs. Ola Evans of Olney and her father, Harry C. (Doc) Evans of West Salem. She also leaves a half brother, B. N. Evans of Ventura, California.
