Gerald L. Bowers, 81, of Oregon, Ohio died Tuesday May 3, 2005 at his home.  Services at Holy Rosary Church in Toledo, Ohio with burial in Haven Hill Cemetery in Olney.

Mr. Bowers was born on March 22, 1924 in Olney, the son of Samuel and Flossie (Seymour) Bowers.

He was employed by Owens-Corning as a computer program analyst. He was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Toledo, Ohio. He enjoyed antiquing and was involved with drag racing.

Mr. Bowers is survived by his children, Myron Bowers and his wife, Kim, Yvette Vandegrift and her husband, Eric, Tom, Michael and his wife, Beth and Christine Rokicki; thirteen grandchildren and a great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Richard and Claude "Billy".
