Betty Jane Boley Deones, 83, of Olney, died Thursday, February 21, 2008, at Richland Care & Rehab in Olney.

Mrs. Deones was born August 20, 1924, the daughter of Roy Edward and Lydia (Pflum) Boley. She married Jimmie Deones on August 20, 1971. He preceded her in death on September 30, 1989.

She retired from Olney Public Library, where she was a librarian for several years. She was a member of First United Methodist Church.

Mrs. Deones is survived by her dear nephews, Mark Boley, of Beech Bluff, Tenn., Roy E. Boley III, of Alton, and Lionel Boley and his wife, Lauren, of Alton; and many cousins, including Gloria Boley Stumbaugh, of Belleville.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brother, Roy Edward Boley Jr.; and dear nephew, Murray Boley.

Funeral services were held at the Summers-Kistler funeral home with Rev. Scott Carlson officiating.

Burial was in Haven Hill Memorial Garden in Olney.
